Viper EAG-2 Environmentally Acceptable Lubricant (EAL) is an environmentally friendly, synthetic, high-performance lubricant designed for Wire Rope Applications.  While many EAL lubricants sacrifice performance and durability to meet regulatory requirements, Viper WRL’s EAG-2 delivers uncompromised protection for all lubricated components.

EAG-2 is the premium choice for operators who need outstanding equipment protection while meeting demanding environmental requirements. Designed for use in environmentally sensitive areas, EAG-2 is ideal for industries such as marine, mining, ports, rail, construction and heavy industrial operations where lubricant leakage or wash-off may impact surrounding ecosystems.   The advanced synthetic formula, combining renewable base oils with calcium sulfonate complex thickener, is biodegradable, non-toxic, and non-bioaccumulative. 

This environmentally responsible design allows operators to reduce environmental risk without sacrificing lubrication performance or equipment reliability. This is especially critical for wire ropes in harsh marine environments where equipment is exposed to wet and highly corrosive conditions.

EAG-2 delivers exceptional extreme-pressure protection, outstanding anti-wear performance, and a wide operating temperature range. It also provides excellent rust and corrosion protection and outstanding resistance to water washout.
